Dustin Burke Band
If you’re not a believer in coincidence...the only other option is that God has serious favor on these 5 guys. It seems as if
they are in the right place at the right time...everytime. While Dustin has been leading worship the past 11 years, 4 years ago
he began his new chapter. It’s five guys that go from city to city leading worship and teaching people how to live with purpose
& passion – you may know them as -- Dustin Burke Band. Shortly after their first few shows they received an e- mail from
Producer Barry Blair, famed for his role as guitar player and songwriter for Audio Adrenaline. Barry produced their first studio
effort for them out of his belief in what would surely be a successful music career for DBB. That record went on to secure their
position on the Indieheaven roster, an on-line community of singers, songwriters, and bands that share ideas and utilize the
tools of Indieheaven to help catapult their careers as indie artists. Only a month after joining that organization Dustin
received a phone call from Indieheaven president, Keith Mohr. Keith explained that he felt as if Dustin & the band best
demonstrated the excellence, passion, and commitment of any artist on the 1,000’s of artists he represents. As a result, Keith
offered them a fully funded scholarship record with Dove award winning producer Jim Cooper (Building 429, Decyfer Down,
SonicFlood). Keith and the IH team paid for the production, the mixing, mastering, & accommodations while they recorded.
This record helped secure heavy touring, regional radio success, and a flood of calls from management companies, record labels,
and industry veterans. After a short partnership with a professional management team, Dustin felt the band was losing focus from
what they really wanted to do & did well...lead worship. As a result the band went back to a grass roots approach to their music
mission. They began building relationships with people, churches, ministries, ect. Since then...a believer in their ministry
donated a beautiful RV & trailer to DBB that was upgraded when another friend of the ministry equipped them in a 40’
entertainment coach. Additionally, a retired NBA player and gospel artist handed the keys to a beautiful recording studio in a
high-rise building in their hometown of Dayton, OH to the band where they are continually writing and producing music for
themselves as well as helping to develop the skills and music of other songwriters and musicians in their community.
DBB has shared the stage with Chris Tomlin, David Crowder*Band, Sonic Flood, Jaci Velasquez, Building 429, TAIT, and many many
more. They’ve played some of the countries biggest festivals, played a mega church and a new church plant in the same week and
everything in between.
Musically, Dustin Burke Band writes guitar-heavy worship anthems that are packaged in grooving loops, catchy hooks, singable
choruses, memorable melody lines and passion that rips through your speakers like you’re sitting in the front row of a live
concert. Armed with a desperate desire for corporate worship, a strong anointing and a track record that keeps them busy on the
road teaching churches and church leaders how to go further and press deeper in their worship experiences...Dustin and the band
are making quite an impact across the United States.
“Honestly...we’re not doing anything special. We’re just being faithful with what we have. Something magical and very special
happens when we lead worship. People are saved...and hearts are turned back to God. So....we just keep doing it. We’re not
trying to make people DBB fans...we want to make them worshippers. We want them to go to our myspace, our music, and our
resources not so they can think we’re awesome but because it helps them know the Father more. Do we want to be famous? Heck
yea...we want to be known all over the world as people who are making Jesus famous.”
Dustin and the band will be releasing a new studio project in late 2008 that even better represents the quantum leap the band has
made in the past year writing 14 solid songs over the past 12 months. Perhaps even more impressive is that the record was
engineered and produced by the band in their new studio.
